International language school of the Finno-Ugric youth to open in the Perm region. In August, as part of the regional programme ‘Kudymkar. Cultural restart’ International Summer Language School of the Finno-Ugric Youth will operate in the Komi-Permyak Area. ‘The project aims at studying the Komi-Permyian language and culture and the creation of informal partnerships and communities among youth of the Finno-Ugric countries and territories,’ the head of the Perm regional public organisation Windrose Svetlana Kolchurina said. The school participants will learn the features of Komi-Permian culture: attend basic and advanced language courses, go to the ethnographic expeditions, and learn the secrets of national handicrafts. Organiser: Perm Regional Public Organisation Wind Rose with the support of the Perm Krai Ministry for Komi-Permyak Area and the NGO Institute of Civic Engagement. To become a participant of the International Summer Language School of the Finno-Ugric Youth one needs to fill in and send an application to the coordinator Svetlana Kolchurina before 17 July, 2011.
