More than 37.5 thousand babies were born in the Perm region in 2010. This is the highest figure in the last 18 years. Rise in birth rate is 3% on 2009.

The most fertile of babies were March and August. Then 3.5 thousand boys and the same number of girls were born. And in the last month of 2010, the Perm region increased by 3.2 thousand children.

Most babies were born in Perm - over 15 thousand; about 2 thousand was born in Berezniki last year, and 1.5 thousand - in Chaikovsky.

Fertility is higher than mortality in 9 municipalities - Perm, Kudymkar, Chaikovsky, and also in Permsky, Sivinsky, Chastinsky, Chernushinsky and Ossinsky districts, and ZATO Zvezdny.
